I've been behind a camera for over 8 years — and formally trained in both digital art and photography long before that. But honestly, the technical stuff isn't what I lead with when I meet a new client.

What I lead with is this: most people are uncomfortable being photographed. They don't know where to look, what to do with their hands, or how to smile without feeling completely ridiculous. I know this because they tell me — right before their session, standing there nervous, wondering if they made the right call.

By the end? They're laughing. They're relaxed. And the camera is the last thing on their mind.
